Third I enjoyed that the lighting/ambiance went with the theme, kind of dark and mysterious. Something I did not enjoy about this movie was the cliffhanger. A lot of thriller movies leave the ending of their movies up for interpretation to the audience, I personally do not like that.

Movie Conventions Research: Don't Worry Darling

"Don't Worry Darling" is a psychological thriller film directed by Olivia Wilde. The movie centers around a 1950s housewife, played by Florence Pugh, who begins to unravel dark secrets about her seemingly perfect husband, portrayed by Harry Styles. The film's suspenseful atmosphere is crafted through meticulous cinematography, intense performances, and a haunting score. The thriller elements are heightened by the mysterious undertones that permeate the storyline, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. Tension builds gradually as the protagonist delves into a web of deceit and discovers the disturbing reality beneath the facade of her suburban life. Wilde's direction adds a layer of visual sophistication, amplifying the eerie ambiance.  Hey Blog! So we’re finally ready to start choosing our genre! I’m really excited. Since we have to pick three genres to study, we decided to split it up. So for this blog we’re going to discuss comedy.  So a few characteristics that make up a comedy movie are wordplay and uncomfortable situations to induce laughter from the audience.  After doing some research, the most common camera techniques are the push, the pull, the wait for it, and the reveal. I think we can implement all of these things into our final task.  Common mienscenene are natural makeup, natural lighting, casual acting, and props that fit the movie. Some examples of comedy movies are: No hard feelings, The hating game, and good burger.  Aspects of a comedy movies I like are how funny they are, and how casual they seem to be.  Some things I don’t like are how sometimes the jokes can be offensive at times. Anyway, that’s my research on the comedy genre!

We have two ideas for our video. Our first idea for out video is to have a stalker theme. It is supposed to resemble the show You. You could watch it on Netflix. The show is about a main character named Joe. He stalks women he finds interest in. Most the time he kills them. We were going to do that on the beach. Or maybe in a public setting. But we are leaning towards the other option more. The idea is to have a 'killer' in my house. We are filming at my house. We don't really have a set plan yet. We like this idea a lot. Reason being is that it could be very easily executed. We are more than likely going to do this for our film. We need to come up with a better storyline though. Both ideas are very alike. They have the same kind of idea for it.

I am working with 2 students for this movie. One of their names are Adarius. The other person is named Mercedes. We are very excited to work with each other. We do not have a plan yet. We do want it to be a thriller movie though. Something along the lines of a popular show on Netflix. The show is called You. It is about a man named Joe. He is a stalker to women. He craves the attention from women. He is consistently looking for validation from them. We want the character to be similar to his character.  We think this project is going to be very fun. I personally think we are going to have a great time. I think this because we are all very creative people. This assignment forces all of us to put our creative minds together. And we know with that we can produce something great. We are all planning on coming together for all our blogs. We are going to time stamp all of them so we know we submit them on time.
